Julie Price started training in March 1985. She passed her Black belt grading in March 1988 and her 2nd Dan grading in December 1989.
In October 1993 she was awarded Best In Black Belt grading when she took and passed her 3rd Dan. In October 1997 she was promoted to 4th Dan and in April 2004 she took and passed her 5th Dan.

Julie has been teaching since 1988 and in that time has produced 38 black belts, the youngest being 9 years and 9 months old. Three of her former students are currently running their own clubs.Julie has had numerous competition successes including the following:

  • 1992 Bronze in Patterns at the Welsh Championships
  • 1992 Bronze in Patterns at the English championships
  • 1992 bronze in Sparring at the English Championships
  • 1993 Silver in Patterns at the Welsh Championships
  • 1993 Gold in Patterns at the British Championships
  • 1993 Black Belt Grading Award
  • 1994 Silver in Patterns at the British Championships
  • 1995 Gold in Patterns at the English Championships
  • 1996 Silver in Patterns at the Welsh Championships
  • 1999 Silver in Patterns at the English Championships
  • 2003 Bronze in patterns at the British 20th anniversary
  • TAGB Qualified Instructor
  • TAGB Qualified Umpire
  • TAGB Qualified Referee
